How to Make Caprese Crostinis With Avocado
STEP 1 – Prep the Crostinis
Slice the baguette into rounds, about 1/2 inch thick. Drizzle olive oil on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place the sliced baguette rounds on top. Drizzle olive oil on top of the rounds and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
STEP 2 – Assemble the Crostinis
Using a fork, mash avocado onto the top of each baked crostini. Sprinkle sea salt on top of the avocado. Next, layer each crostini with a basil leaf (you may need to tear the leaf in half to fit on the crostini), followed by a mozzarella slice, and then 2 halved cherry tomatoes.
STEP 3 – Add the Final Touches
Drizzle a tiny bit of olive oil across all of the crostini followed by a balsamic glaze. Sprinkle a little bit of shredded basil on top for a nice presentation and serve.
